Location: Garsington Road Day Nursery, Cowley, OX4 2DQ.

Contract: Permanent, 0 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Working pattern: Varied, ad-hoc shifts between 07:30-18:30, Monday-Friday. Seasonal shifts will be between 07:30-18:30 during the academic holidays.

Salary: £12.87-£14.38 per hour.

About you

  • Natural nurturing person with experience caring for babies and children aged five and under, ideally in an early years environment.
  • Holding an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) knowledge and a DfE approved early years qualification at level 2 or above is advantageous, though not essential.
  • Passionate about inspiring children: Implement engaging activities planned by the Key Person to empower children to learn through play and exploration, and contribute to observations for the children’s learning journeys.
  • Advocate for safeguarding: Ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy and their well-being is promoted.
  • Collaborative: Enjoy working in partnership with others, and can effectively communicate and build strong and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
