We are looking for a reliable, organised and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly nursery team. The role will involve:
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks
- Supporting the cook when required
- Washing dishes and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen
- Following food hygiene procedures
- Carefully meeting allergy and dietary requirements
- Working safely around young children
The successful candidate should be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team. Excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards, knowledge of food hygiene and allergens, and a willingness to complete the necessary safeguarding and background checks are required.
Previous experience in a nursery, school or childcare kitchen would be an advantage. A suitable Food Hygiene certificate is also desirable.
