We are a warm and welcoming family seeking a reliable, caring, and proactive individual to join our household in a full-time nanny/housekeeper position. This is a unique role that combines childcare, housekeeping, cooking, and family support. We are looking for someone who will become a genuine member of the household and provide an extra pair of hands to help the home run smoothly.
The role requires flexibility, as working hours may vary depending on family needs. Typical working hours start at 8:30 AM, with a usual finish time around 6:30 PM, although some days may vary. Very occasional weekend work may be available, however, the role will never exceed 5 working days per week.
Responsibilities- Acting as a responsible third adult in the household, helping supervise and support children in a safe and caring environment
- Keeping an eye on children throughout the day and assisting with daily routines
- Supporting and engaging children with educational, creative, and planned activities
- Helping with school-related tasks and encouraging development through play and learning
- Assisting children with daily prayers and helping reinforce positive routines and values
- General cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming home
- Laundry, ironing, and household organisation as required
- Cooking and meal preparation for the family
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- Warm, trustworthy, responsible, and proactive
- Comfortable balancing childcare and household responsibilities
- Happy to be part of a family environment rather than simply fulfilling a standard nanny or cleaner role
- Flexible with working hours where needed
- Ability to speak and teach Urdu to children
- Ability to teach children about Islamic values and practices, including helping with daily prayers
- Experience caring for children and/or managing household responsibilities
- £13 per hour
- Approximately 50 hours per week on average
- Self-employed position with flexibility in scheduling
