Are you passionate about supporting bereaved children, parents and families, and the professionals who work with them? Helpline Practitioner Hours: 21 hours (3 days) per week Rate: £28,000 per annum (pro-rata) Reporting: Head of Helpline Services Base: Blended: Home Working and Child Bereavement UK Head Office in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire (currently 1 day per quarter) Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying. We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families. We are looking to recruit a talented and highly motivated individual, to provide timely and appropriate support and information to both families and professionals contacting Child Bereavement UK (CBUK) through a variety of channels, mainly phone, email and live chat, and to assist in the development and maintenance of systems, policies, practices and procedures to underpin this service.
