We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA / Estimator) to join one of the South East's leading accident repair groups. Based at a modern, manufacturer-approved bodyshop in Shepperton, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that values quality, teamwork, and employee wellbeing.
You will play a key role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring a smooth customer journey from inspection to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately assess vehicle damage and produce detailed repair estimates
- Identify required repairs and parts using strong mechanical knowledge
- Ensure repairs meet NVQ standards and internal quality controls
- Liaise with customers, insurers, and workshop teams professionally
- Manage customer handovers efficiently and accurately
- Upsell additional services where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain high attention to detail across all assessments
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator role
- ATA or NVQ qualification desirable but not essential
- Strong technical and mechanical understanding of vehicle repairs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced bodyshop environment
