This is what you will do:

The role is responsible for driving sustainable market access and adoption of Chiesi's Rare Disease portfolio across England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland by developing and managing strategic relationships within the NHS. The role will focus on understanding and shaping patient pathways, referral networks and treatment models to support appropriate access to national and regional specialist services, in line with agreed brand strategy, NHS commissioning frameworks and the ABPI Code of Practice.

You will be responsible for:

  • Market Development & Account Leadership: Lead national and regional market development activities to support access to Chiesi's Rare Disease portfolio. Develop a deep understanding of patient identification, referral pathways and treatment flows across the NHS. Build and maintain strategic, long-term partnerships with key national, regional and local stakeholders. Influence appropriate adoption of treatment pathways in line with commissioning arrangements and clinical practice.
  • Key Account Planning & Strategy: Develop, implement and regularly review strategic key account plans aligned to national brand strategy and local system needs. Ensure effective execution of agreed marketing and market access initiatives within assigned accounts.
  • Customer Engagement & Scientific Exchange: Deliver high-quality, compliant interactions with physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff and relevant healthcare stakeholders. Provide accurate, up-to-date medical and technical information on in-market products. Maintain a high level of clinical and disease-area knowledge across relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Business & Financial Management: Manage allocated AV and activity budgets in line with agreed business plans and governance requirements. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative, CRM and compliance-related activities. Maintain detailed customer records and clearly documented account objectives.
  • Collaboration, Compliance & Sustainability: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Market Access and Commercial colleagues to deliver aligned account strategies. Ensure all activities fully comply with the ABPI Code of Practice and internal governance standards.

You will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical hospital sales in a Key Account Manager or equivalent role.
  • Experience working in rare diseases and/or specialist therapy areas (e.g. specialist dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology).
  • Proven experience of working within NHS funding and commissioning frameworks for high-cost medicines.
  • Strong track record of developing and delivering effective key account plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and networking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific and technical information clearly and credibly.
  • Highly self-motivated with a consistent record of achieving business objectives.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Mandatory Requirements:

  • ABPI qualified.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This role is field-based and requires regular travel.
