What you’ll do
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across all our pubs
- Step into different kitchens and quickly adapt to each team and setup
- Run busy shifts in the absence of Head Chefs, ensuring smooth operations and high standards under pressure
- Support new pub openings, menu rollouts, and seasonal changes
- Cover holidays and provide stability during rota gaps
- Help train and develop junior chefs and kitchen teams
- Work closely with Head Chefs to uphold brand standards and improve performance
- Monitor stock, prep levels, and ordering where needed
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are always met
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and team performance
- Lead by example, promoting a positive, professional kitchen culture
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing others
- Confident working across multiple kitchens and roles, while adapting to different teams
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage shifting priorities
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
- Calm and effective under pressure, with a solutions-focused mindset

- Full UK driving licence and own transport
