The Marketing Department plays an essential role in developing relationships with audiences, participants, the industry and our community. It is a fast-paced and creative environment with colleagues who are passionate about providing a high standard of innovative work. The Marketing, Communications and Sales team works collaboratively with all other departments, as well as community and advertising partners, digital and design agencies, producers and creative teams.

As a Marketing Officer you will help shape, implement and develop marketing and audience development campaigns for CFT placing audiences at the heart of everything we do, generating innovative and creative marketing assets and ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, support and activate creative campaigns that focus on retention, acquisition and diversification of audiences at CFT across the Festival and Winter seasons and in The Nest.
  • Create and schedule engaging content for email, website, and social media platforms in line with brand guidelines.
  • Contribute ideas for targeted campaigns that ensure each production reaches relevant and representative audiences.
  • Develop and oversee the production of marketing materials, ensuring the CFT brand is supported, and deadlines are met.
  • Work with external graphic designers, content creators and printers to ensure all materials are bought competitively, delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement print, digital and outdoor advertising campaigns within agreed budgets, working with internal colleagues and external agencies.
  • Use Spektrix to analyse data and effectively target marketing activity to relevant groups of bookers, helping to maximise retention of existing CFT audiences.
  • Liaise with producing partners and visiting companies, building strong relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate all activity to inform strategic planning and audience development targets.
  • Proactively build relationships with, and promote the work of, other CFT departments.
  • Work closely with the Development team to support their marketing and communications needs, ensuring consistency and alignment with the CFT brand and business objectives.
  • Work with the People team to produce and upload job roles and to promote CFT.
  • Upload content to the CFT website as required.
  • Produce FOH signage as required.
  • Lead on specific projects as required to help shape and implement initiatives as part of CFT’s commitment to attracting new and diverse audiences.
  • Develop an understanding of the role of the Marketing Managers to provide cover for holidays and absences where required.
  • Attend first previews, press nights and other events as appropriate.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks as necessary.
