Are you a qualified and experienced Carpenter, wanting to share your skills and knowledge with the next generation? Brighton Met College is recruiting a Lecturer in Carpentry to deliver engaging practical and theory lessons on our expanding carpentry programmes. Experience of teaching a range of ages and levels is required as this role will include working with Key Stage 4 students, 16-19 full-time and adult part-time programmes.

Our Lecturer in Carpentry will have a qualification at level 3 or above and relevant experience is essential for this role. You will also need English and maths at level 2. If you do not have a teaching qualification already, a willingness to gain one is also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons in Carpentry on expanding carpentry programmes.
  • Teach a range of ages and levels, including Key Stage 4 students, 16-19 full-time and adult part-time programmes.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment and progression for Carpentry learners.

Qualifications

  • Qualification at level 3 or above in Carpentry or a related field, with relevant experience.
  • English and maths at level 2.
  • If you do not have a teaching qualification, a willingness to gain one is essential.
