Overview
Instructor/Technician in Creative Industries [Ref: CC7546] – Chichester College
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of learning opportunities for students on various Dance, Drama and costume courses within the Performing Arts department.
- Help build props and sets for productions held in the on-site theatre and local venues (e.g., Edelweiss Pirates, The Table, Sister Act).
- Assist with the teaching of Drama and costume courses, including preparation of teaching areas, maintaining equipment and the asset register, distribution and collection of equipment daily, and assisting staff and students in the college working environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant industrial, commercial or subject experience in performing arts is essential.
- GCSE English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards these.
- Effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements & Benefits
Pro rata salary £24,598 – £24,695 per annum (i.e. approx £14,758.80 – £14,817) with 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
