As the Information Governance Assistant, you will support the Information Governance Manager by ensuring the Group meets its legal obligations in Data Protection and Freedom of Information. You will drive the College Data Protection compliance project and raise awareness of Data Protection throughout the Group. You must maintain meticulous record‑keeping and respond to daily queries, requests and incidents. A recognised qualification in data privacy, or a willingness to work towards it, is required. Full training will be provided, and we are committed to investing in your career goals in Information Governance.
Responsibilities
- Support the Information Governance Manager in the Data Protection compliance project.
- Act as the key contact point for daily queries, requests and incidents about Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Participate in travel to other campus sites as required.
Qualifications
- General understanding of Data Protection laws and Freedom of Information.
- Meticulous approach to record keeping.
- Recognised qualification in data privacy, or willingness to progress to one.
