With a recognised Level 2 and/or Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Early Years, Care and Education, you will be enthusiastic, organised and flexible with previous experience of working in a childcare setting. Though not essential, a First Aid certificate would be desirable.
As a Childcare Assistant at First Steps Childcare, you will be part of a team that supports children's early learning experiences, helping them learn, socialise, explore and have fun. The First Steps Brinsbury nursery is part of a group of nurseries across West Sussex and is based on the Brinsbury College campus, offering a rural environment with a farm track, orchard, stream and more. The nursery often has a waiting list for childcare places, reflecting its popularity.
First Steps Staff benefit from a competitive annual leave entitlement, wellbeing days and closure days over the Christmas period (which are not deducted from leave entitlement), along with staff discounts on nursery fees and access to other discount schemes, including discounts at shops and restaurants.
Responsibilities:
- As a Childcare Assistant working with young babies through to children ready to start school, you will share your love for learning and make a real difference in children's development and learning journeys.
- Together with the dedicated team, you will help ensure the children are learning, socialising, exploring and having fun.
Qualifications:
- Recognised Level 2 and/or Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Early Years, Care and Education
- Enthusiastic, organised and flexible with previous experience of working in a childcare setting
- First Aid certificate would be desirable (not essential)
