Chichester College is recruiting a Lecturer in STEM to commence in September. Candidates should have experience in motor vehicle related disciplines and a genuine interest in working with young students from diverse backgrounds. Required qualities include patience, compassion, empathy and a strong passion for the subject. The role focuses on engaging students with learning and building excitement about vehicle mechanics, including teaching, assessment and verification of qualifications.
Successful applicants will join the College’s STEM department as the new multi‑million pound facility opens. The building houses modern automotive and engineering workshops, as well as facilities for composites, robotics, materials, renewable energy, additive manufacturing, CAD, CNC, electric and hybrid vehicle technology, and traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. Dedicated suites for computing and modern science laboratories are also available.
Applicants with no prior teaching experience are welcome; the College provides a fully funded Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship and other training options.
