We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Premises Coordinator to join our team at Brighton MET. This is a key support role, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the College estate and providing vital administrative assistance to the Estates & Facilities team. You will work closely with the Head of Estates and the Buildings & Facilities Manager, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-managed environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Estates & Facilities team
  • Act as a central point of contact for enquiries from staff and external stakeholders, including contractors
  • Support diary management, document control, and information management
  • Maintain accurate records and files, including budget monitoring and audit support
  • Work collaboratively with the Buildings & Facilities Manager, Maintenance Teams, and Cleaning Manager to ensure excellent customer liaison
  • Assist in coordinating the College's maintenance and development programmes
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures
  • Support the Head of Estates and act on their behalf when required

Qualifications

  • Experienced in an administrative role, ideally within an FE (Further Education) environment
  • Confident handling confidential information and managing enquiries and complaints
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in working with spreadsheets and data
  • Highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused
