Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Fire Safety Advisor on a full-time, 1-year fixed term basis. In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £44,643 - £48,325 per annum (inclusive of £5,000 Market Forces supplement).

The Fire Safety Advisor role involves taking a lead role in all aspects of fire safety across our multiple sites. This is a key position with responsibility for ensuring the highest standards of fire safety for our learners, staff, and visitors. You will lead on all aspects of fire safety management, providing expert advice across diverse sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a positive fire safety culture.
  • Carrying out fire risk assessments across all sites and monitoring actions identified to ensure compliance by responsible personnel/departments.
  • Comprehensive review of the Group's existing fire safety policy including any necessary alterations to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • The development and implementation of emergency evacuation processes across all sites, considering individual risk factors and environments.
  • Identifying gaps in fire safety training and developing relevant training strategies to implement throughout the Group’s sites.
  • Carrying out regular fire safety inspections and documenting findings.

Our ideal Fire Safety Advisor should have the following skills and experience:

  • Fire Safety qualification, level 4 or higher e.g. Diploma in Fire Safety.
  • Membership of relevant professional body e.g. IFE, IFSM.
  • Experience conducting complex fire risk assessments in an operational multi-site organisation.
  • Ability to produce effective detailed reports relating to fire safety.
  • Expert knowledge of current fire safety legislation, technical standards & best practice to ensure compliance.
