Job Overview
We are seeking a committed and inspiring English GCSE Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching to 16‑18‑year‑old learners on full‑time study programmes.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess GCSE English lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements.
- Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences and track and report on learner progress.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and quality assurance activities.
- Work collaboratively within the English team to support learner attendance, retention, and achievement.
- Ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in English.
- Experience of teaching GCSE within an FE or secondary setting (or the ability to adapt quickly to FE delivery).
- Held or willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
