This is a full-time supportive role that will help teaching staff prepare workshops and materials for lessons in general construction skills such as carpentry and furniture making.
This role gives you the opportunity help people learn new skills and develop themselves into construction professionals of the future.
You will be competent in the use of wood machine equipment and be open to opportunities for training and development.
As our Instructor/Technician in Carpentry you will:• To be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the workshop equipment, teaching resources and the preparation and supervision of designated areas.• To provide technical support to staff and students, including safe use and maintenance of equipment. • To ensure that stores area and yard are kept in a safe and tidy condition. • To instruct and supervise students to ensure success in theory and practical sessions and assist with student assessments.

What you will bring to the role:
• Industry experience within the wood trades sector.• Practical experience in the maintenance and upkeep of woodworking tools and equipment.• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and safe working practices.
