Brinsbury College, part of the Chichester College Group, have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Maths & 14-16 at our Brinsbury College campus. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis. In return, we will offer a competitive salary pro rata of £27,785 - £43,325 per annum (i.e. £16,671 - £25,995) for 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including enrichment opportunities.
- Leading and supporting the delivery of GCSE in Maths.
- Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
- Participating in marketing activities and promoting the College positively for sponsorship, advertising, good public relations, and increased recruitment.
- Participating in student reviews and other relevant meetings to manage the achievement and attendance of students.
Our ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant industry/subject experience.
- Experience working with challenging young people.
- Working knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies.
- Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
- Time management skills, organisational skills, and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- To obtain an appropriate teaching qualification as defined by the Corporation.
