Westgate Halls of Residence Supervisor

Are you approachable, responsible and committed to helping young people feel safe, supported and at home? Join our Accommodation Services team and play a key role in the welfare, supervision and security of residents at Westgate Halls in Chichester.
As our Westgate Halls of Residence Supervisor, you will:
Act as a welcoming and reliable point of contact for residents, supporting their welfare and responding to day-to-day queries and concerns.
Maintain a safe residential environment by following safeguarding, security, fire safety and health and safety procedures, including daily checks and regular inspections.
Promote positive student behaviour, working closely with colleagues, security staff, parents and relevant support services.
Keep accurate student records, event logs and shift handovers, and identify and report maintenance, stock and operational issues.
Be involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the accommodation, helping to ensure rooms are maintained to a high standard for students.

What you will bring to the role:
Experience of working in a welfare-related role and an understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups.
The ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of people of different ages and backgrounds.
Proven customer service skills, sound judgement and confidence using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
A responsible and professional approach, with integrity, compassion and patience.
