Salary: £27,785 - £43,325 per annum, plus £610 Crawley Weighting Allowance.

Job Summary

Lecturer in English (GCSE) delivering high-quality teaching to 16-18 year olds in a full-time FE setting.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess GCSE English lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements.
  • Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences, track and report learner progress.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate within the English team to support learner attendance, retention and achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Experience of teaching GCSE within an FE or secondary setting (or ability to adapt quickly to FE delivery).
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification.
