As our Westgate Halls of Residence Supervisor, you will:

  • Act as a welcoming and reliable point of contact for residents, supporting their welfare and responding to day-to-day queries and concerns.
  • Maintain a safe residential environment by following safeguarding, security, fire safety and health and safety procedures, including daily checks and regular inspections.
  • Promote positive student behaviour, working closely with colleagues, security staff, parents and relevant support services.
  • Keep accurate student records, event logs and shift handovers, and identify and report maintenance, stock and operational issues.
  • Be involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the accommodation, helping to ensure rooms are maintained to a high standard for students.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience of working in a welfare-related role and an understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of people of different ages and backgrounds.
  • Proven customer service skills, sound judgement and confidence using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • A responsible and professional approach, with integrity, compassion and patience.
