Role Overview

We are currently looking to appoint enthusiastic, reliable and friendly people to build our Bank Staff team at our Chichester Nursery. This role is for adhoc hours to support covering staff absence, holiday and breaks, and in enhancing ratios to deliver support for children in receipt of additional funding.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day care of children.
  • Assist the team with organisation and implementation of activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage appropriate to each age group.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and children, maintaining a polite and patient approach.
  • Work as a strong team player and support the team during absence coverage.

Qualifications

  • Proven communication skills.
  • Polite, patient and friendly approach with children.
  • Strong team player and willingness to support staff.

Additional Information

First Steps Childcare has nurseries in several locations and offers childcare options from birth through to children ready to start school. The settings are open 51 weeks of the year, with core opening hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm, closed only for Bank Holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year.
