Responsibilities:
- Variable hours – Bank.
- You will play a key role in shaping a positive and ambitious studio culture – offering individual guidance, delivering formative and summative assessments, and contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
- Your industry experience and professional networks will be invaluable in bringing real‑world context into the classroom and creating meaningful opportunities for students.
- In this role you will plan and deliver engaging, industry‑informed teaching across core units including fashion design, ideas generation, garment construction, textiles techniques, and creative development.
- You will support students to build strong technical skills alongside a confident design aesthetic, preparing them for progression to higher education or employment within the fashion and creative industries.
Qualifications:
- A degree or higher‑level qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in Fashion Design, Textiles, Fashion Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience within the fashion or textiles industry – for example in design, garment construction, pattern cutting, print, knitwear, or a related specialism.
- Technical skills in at least one core area of fashion or textiles practice, with the ability to teach and demonstrate these to students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing.
