You will join us on a full-time basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £56,552 - £61,803 per annum, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
The Head of Learning (Business, Learning and Development) Role: Are you an ambitious senior leader ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have the strategic insight, leadership experience and drive to shape an outstanding curriculum area within one of the UK's largest and most successful college groups? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Learning to lead our Business, Learning and Development provision. This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Principal, Head of School, Programme Director or senior curriculum leader who is aspiring to progress to Vice Principal level in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing staff, finances, management information and resources within the curriculum area, in accordance with our College Group's core values, behaviours, policies, procedures and regulations and in pursuit of a high quality, effective and efficient provision.
- Managing day-to-day operations of the curriculum cluster, raising the quality of the learning experience of students and their levels of satisfaction.
- Researching and developing the curriculum offer to meet the developing needs of students, employers, and the local community, taking into account changing legislative requirements including curriculum reform, Ofsted and the local skills improvement plans (LSIPs).
- Participating in the College Group's Proud to be approach to student behaviour management to support students to attend, engage, progress achieve to the best of their ability.
- Leading, inspiring and enabling the expectations of the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the curriculum cluster, ensuring that all students develop knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities within a secure, challenging and stimulating educational environment.
- Ensuring that target enrolments and budgets are met, high standards of teaching and learning are reached and maintained, and student retention and achievement are maximised across all provision and groups within our student community.
Our ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent.
- A level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise.
- Further Education curriculum delivery planning and administration.
- A proven record of promoting teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high and outstanding standard.
- Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners, customers and staff.
