Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Associate Lecturer in Software Development (Bank) at our Brighton MET College.\\n\\nSalary: £25.82 - £40.26 per hour\\n\\nWork Pattern: Variable hours - 2 X 8-week skills bootcamp, starting late September 25 with opportunity to extend for future bootcamps.\\n\\nAre you passionate about coding and eager to inspire the next generation of developers? We are proud to be working with Brighton & Hove City Council to deliver a range of flexible and funded Skills Bootcamps in Software Development. Join us at our vibrant college campus in the North Laine area of central Brighton!\\n\\nThese intensive 8-week bootcamps, are designed to upskill/update and equip learners with real-world tech skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer to help deliver this exciting programme.\\n\\nKey responsibilities as our Associate Lecturer in Software Development include:\\n\\nTo undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, initial assessments, enrolments as agreed.\\n\\t\\nTo ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.\\n\\t\\nTo undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.\\n\\t\\nTo take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.\\n\\t\\nTo develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.\\n\\t\\nTo take part in Internal Quality Assurance activities as required by the Teaching and Learning Manager.\\n\\t\\nTo understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding and Pastoral expectations.\\n\\t\\nKeep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.\\n\\t\\nTo participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.\\n\\t\\nTo plan and undertake termly enrichment activities as required.\\n\\nWhat we’re looking for in our Associate Lecturer in Software Development:\\n\\nDegree in Programming/Software Development/computing (or related field)\\n\\t\\nLevel 2 literacy and numeracy\\n\\t\\nWorking knowledge of coding languages and tools for full stack development\\n\\t\\nAn understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups\\n\\t\\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams applications\\n\\t\\nRelevant industrial/commercial/subject experience\\n\\t\\nExperience in teaching and assessing of Software Development programmes\\n\\t\\nCurriculum delivery and associated administration experience\\n\\t\\nExperience of managing diverse groups of students\\n\\nClosing date: 25 August 2025\\n\\nInterview date: 4 September 2025\\n\\nYou will be asked to upload a CV before starting an application form for this role.
