This is a hybrid role, 2 days remote and 3 days in the office. Job Overview:

As a Graduate Trading Application Support Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and operating the client exchange platforms. Full on-the-job training will be provided, with ample scope for learning and growth within the role. The list of supported exchanges may expand as the business grows. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of trading platforms.
  • Providing first-line support via phone and help desk systems, handling basic issues, and escalating complex problems.
  • Maintaining high customer service standards for support queries.
  • Troubleshooting and gathering information for issue diagnosis and escalation.
  • Maintaining security reference data related to securities across platforms.
  • Updating and improving knowledge base and documentation.
  • Collaborating with Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure, and Sales teams to monitor operations.
  • Implementing and deploying changes to platforms.
  • Compiling outage reports post-incident.
  • Streamlining processes and following process maps to reduce risk.
  • Working with internal teams to enhance operational tools and capture development requirements.
Experience Essential:
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree in a technical, computer science, or finance-related field, or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
  • Experience in operational or technical support roles.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts simply.
  • Confidence in handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Experience with FIX Protocol is a plus but not essential.
  • Understanding of UK and EU equity markets and trade lifecycle is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and understand relational databases is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux servers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GIT version control or similar tools.
  • Scripting experience (bash/shell, python, or similar) is desirable.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Binary Protocols.
  • Dashboard creation in Grafana.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite.
  • Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting skills (TCP/UDP, telnet, IP, Ports).
Skills:
  • Effective communicator.
  • Detail-oriented, numerate, self-motivated.
  • Team player, able to work independently.
  • Interest in financial markets and understanding of operating in a regulated environment.
