Job Overview:

The primary responsibilities include maintaining and operating the client exchange platforms. Full training will be provided, with scope for growth within the company. There may be some evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and maintenance of platforms
  • Provide first-line support via help desk and phone, escalating issues as needed
  • Maintain high customer service standards
  • Troubleshoot and gather information for issue resolution
  • Maintain security reference data for securities across platforms
  • Update and improve documentation and knowledge bases
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement and deploy changes to platforms
  • Report outages and ensure processes are followed to reduce risk
  • Collaborate on operational improvements and future developments

Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant field or 2 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience in operational or technical support
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence in handling calls
  • Knowledge of FIX Protocol (desirable)
  • Understanding of UK/EU equity markets (desirable)
  • SQL query writing and relational database knowledge (desirable)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux servers (desirable)
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GIT (desirable)
  • Scripting skills such as bash, shell, or Python (desirable)

Desired:

  • Experience with Grafana dashboards
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools
  • Basic networking troubleshooting skills
