Regulatory Economist ( Manager) – £65,000-£80,000 base (depending on experience) – London, United Kingdom (hybrid)

Chi Square Economics is working with a with a leading consultancy in London, which are looking to add to its fast-growing economics team. The economics team work on cases within competition and regulation space, across sectors such as energy, media, transport, finance, telecommunications, and many more.

Due to rapid growth, they are looking for a Regulatory Economist (Manager grade) to lead teams and parts of the projects across one or multiple sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for economists from another consultancy or regulator looking to have more responsibility and support the Chief Economists’ plans in growing the department.

Key Skills

  • A MA/ MSc in Economics
  • Experience leading regulatory economic cases and providing support in leading analysis on larger cases
  • Experience producing high-quality economic analysis using datasets such as Excel & R
  • Prior experience working and developing economic models
  • Prior experience working on regulatory disputes, market investigations, cost assessments and impact assessments
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Sector experience in either energy, finance, water, TMT, or finance
