Role

The Senior Economist will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality economic analysis on a range of advisory projects. The position combines hands‑on technical work with client engagement, project leadership, and the opportunity to support the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality software solutions used by business and investment teams
• Taking ownership of technical projects and products across their full lifecycle
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand underlying business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
• Challenging existing systems and processes to drive innovation and technical excellence
• Contributing to architectural decisions and improving development standards and practices
• Keeping up to date with relevant technologies and industry trends
• Delivering solutions at pace while maintaining a strong focus on quality and reliability

Key Skills

• Strong programming experience in an object‑oriented language such as C#, Java, or Python
• Solid experience working with SQL databases
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• A strong foundation in computer science or a related technical discipline
• Ability to take end‑to‑end ownership of development tasks and projects
• A problem‑solving mindset with a genuine interest in understanding business and domain context
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience within financial services or a similar environment is beneficial, but not essential
