We're supporting a leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm in the appointment of a Director to join its expanding Forensic & Valuation Services practice. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious valuation professional looking to take on a genuine leadership role within a growing team.
As a Director, you'll act as an engagement leader, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of complex valuation assignments from initial scoping through to final delivery. Alongside leading client engagements, you'll be instrumental in the continued growth of the Valuation Services practice. You'll leverage your professional network to originate new business, strengthen existing client relationships and work closely with Partners to shape the future direction of the service line.
This role offers an outstanding opportunity for an established Director or an ambitious Senior Manager / Associate Director ready for the next step to join a firm investing heavily in its Advisory offering and providing a genuine platform for senior progression.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of complex business valuation engagements from planning through to completion.
- Act as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of clients, delivering exceptional technical and commercial advice.
- Prepare and oversee high-quality valuation reports and financial models across a broad range of engagements.
- Advise clients on valuations relating to transactions, financial reporting, tax, shareholder matters, restructuring and strategic decision-making.
- Drive new business through your existing network, client referrals, proposals and strategic business development initiatives.
- Build long-term relationships with clients, lawyers, corporate finance advisers, private equity investors and other professional intermediaries.
- Take ownership of engagement quality, commercial performance and risk management.
- Mentor and develop a growing team of valuation professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Work closely with Partners to support the continued growth and strategic development of the Valuation Services practice.
- ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience leading valuation engagements within a professional services, corporate finance or specialist valuation environment.
- Strong technical expertise across business valuation methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), market multiples and other recognised valuation techniques.
- Experience delivering valuations for financial reporting, tax, transactions, shareholder matters and commercial advisory purposes.
- Proven ability to manage complex client engagements from origination through to delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness with a demonstrable track record of business development and winning new work.
- Established professional network across the corporate finance, legal, private equity or wider advisory market.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise senior executives, business owners and investors.
