Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of regulatory finance policy, including cost of capital, risk and return, and financial resilience frameworks
  • Provide expert analysis and advice on corporate finance issues within a regulated environment
  • Engage with regulators, government departments, and industry stakeholders to shape regulatory outcomes
  • Act as a key point of contact for investors, credit rating agencies, and financial institutions, supporting market engagement
  • Analyse financial performance, capital structures, and investment strategies across regulated entities
  • Contribute to major regulatory reviews, consultations, and price control frameworks
  • Translate complex financial and economic analysis into clear, strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Support the broader debate on economic regulation and infrastructure finance at a national level
Key Skills
  • Strong background in financial economics, corporate finance, or economic regulation
  • Proven experience working within regulatory finance, ideally in a regulated utility, consultancy, financial institution, or regulatory body
