Role
This leadership position blends project delivery with wider strategic input. You’ll oversee multiple workstreams, leading on methodology, analysis, and client engagement, while managing a talented team of economists and analysts.
You’ll apply both quantitative and qualitative methods to generate insight that shapes policy, commercial strategy, and investment decisions. You’ll also support wider business development, building relationships, contributing to proposals, and identifying new areas for growth.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong experience in consulting, public policy, or applied economic analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex projects
- Skilled at leading teams and mentoring junior colleagues
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Capable of translating technical insight for a range of audiences
- Strong qualitative skills, including working with incomplete or messy data
Desirable
- Background in economics (degree or professional experience)
- Exposure to economic modelling or impact assessment frameworks
- Familiarity with business case development (e.g., Green Book, Magenta Book)
- Experience in the space or high-tech sectors
- Proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., R, Stata, Python)
