Chi Onwurah MP is looking for a committed and hard-working Parliamentary Assistant to support her in her Parliamentary duties., * Research & briefing on a wide-range of policy issues.

Drafting speeches, articles, blogs and press releases.

Optimising media exposure and managing communications – website, press work and social media (rota cover).

Leading on project work.

Monitoring and advising Chi on policy and political developments in Newcastle and nationally.

Drafting oral and written parliamentary questions and following up on the answers.

Supporting Chi’s Select Committee and APPG work.

Managing the day-to-day work of a Parliamentary office, engaging with constituents and other miscellaneous activities.

Working cooperatively with the MP and constituency office on managing communications, correspondence and diary, using Office 365 and Sharepoint.

Recruiting and managing Parliamentary Interns.
