Warehouse Shift Manager (PM Shift – Rotating)

Shift: 13:30 – 22:00, 40 hours per week, 5/7 shifts

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Shift Manager (PM) oversees daily warehouse activities during their designated shift to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising the team, managing customer stock, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods and maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates during the assigned shift.
• Ensure timely and accurate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Monitor workflow and team productivity as needed to meet performance goals.
• Enforce health and safety standards, including equipment checks and employee compliance.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure clear communication between shifts.
• Address and resolve any operational issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and employee attendance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with other shift managers and departments to ensure smooth transitions and coordination.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management systems, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in real‑time.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or familiarity with MHE.
• Experience in lean warehousing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• First Aid or Fire Marshall certification.
