The launch of our ‘Final Mile’ solution was a key outcome of our recent business transformation. It has enabled us to support customers more effectively across logistics, asset tracking and lifecycle management.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the newly created position of Asset Manager will:
- Manage the inbound and outbound deliveries and collections of customer owned assets on a daily basis.
- Manage the stockholding of customer owned assets across our UK locations.
- Take responsibility for the sortation and repatriation of removed gas and electricity meter assets in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
Additional duties will also include:
- Liaising with customers to agree a rolling 12 month demand forecast.
- Placing orders for assets with customers and/or asset providers as appropriate in line with agreed forecasts.
- Ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and asset reporting, working with the Warehouse and Stock Control teams as needed.
- Maintaining accuracy in relation to good stock returns.
- Liaising with Warehouse staff to coordinate the booking in of new and returned assets in line with customer SLAs.
- Monitoring stock levels and working with customers to ensure replacement/alternative parts are sourced as required to prevent stock-out scenarios.
- Management of the reporting of the number and status of removed assets and associated SLAs, including industry notification and claim/rejection processes.
- Conducting regular forecasts and reviews relating to change in demand.
- Offering Project support for new business initiatives involving assets.
Essential skills and attributes:
- Experience in warehousing or inventory management.
- Worked in the utilities sector with knowledge of asset management – exposure to Gas/Electricity metering is highly desirable.
- Commercial acumen with experience of managing supplier contracts.
- Experience in sustainability and “green warehousing” initiatives.
