The launch of our ‘Final Mile’ solution was a key outcome of our recent business transformation. It has enabled us to support customers more effectively across logistics, asset tracking and lifecycle management.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the newly created position of Director of Warehousing and Logistics will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and will assume day to day operational responsibility for Warehousing, Transport and Logistics across the UK.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all operational delivery across the organisation encompassing multiple operating locations, ensuring both projects and BAU activity is delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory and accreditation frameworks.
- Work closely with the COO and Senior Leadership Team, translate strategic growth plans into scalable operational structures capable of supporting the company’s ambitious expansion plans.
- Ensure operational delivery complies with regulatory and industry frameworks.
- Maintain oversight of accreditation requirements and quality standards.
- Work closely with Compliance and Asset teams to maintain operational integrity.
- Ensure staff comply to health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others.
- Oversee the operational budget, monitor spending and implement cost saving measures while ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
Essential skills and attributes:
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior Operations Leader or Directorship within a Warehouse/Logistics environment.
- Line management experience and can evidence record of developing team members.
- IT competent – particular spreadsheets and databases – with a knowledge of warehouse and transport management systems.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality of service.
- Good planning skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
