site to join our established and growing business which has a reputation for collaboration, innovation, and investment in its workforce. As a Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for
Night Trunking
across the UK – delivering to 4 of our Regional Hubs – Warrington, Harlow, Birmingham and Motherwell. Key duties will include: Take responsibility for loading and unloading of stock at our depots and cross dock centres Start times between 01.00hrs and 05.00hrs Requirement to be prepared to stay away from home on a “night out” on a regular basis
- for which there will be an allowance in addition to your salary Conduct daily vehicle checks – reporting any defects Take responsibility for your vehicle and load while in your custody Adherence to Health & Safety, Working Time Directive as well as Driving Hours directive
Qualifications and experience required: Minimum of 12 months' experience as a Class One Driver on Night Trunking or other night driving Hold an in-date DQC Clean driving licence preferred (maximum of 5 points) Reliable and highly organised with strong attention to detail Proven track record of safely and legally driving HGV, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements Ability to adhere to Service Level Agreements Good geographical knowledge and ability to navigate using maps while gaining local knowledge Ability to accommodate overnight stays as required A flexible approach and attention to detail is needed Excellent communication skills Conduct reflective of the values of the company
