We are seeking a highly motivated, IT literate, forward thinking and quality aware individual to join our expanding GP Surgery as a GP Receptionist (Patient Care Co-ordinator). We are looking for 2 candidates to work one of the shifts below:
- Shift 1: Monday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm, Wednesday 2pm to 6:30pm, Thursday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm & Friday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm - 33 hours per week.
- Shift 2: Monday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm, Thursday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm & Friday 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 6:30pm - 28.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an individual who can work in a busy, demanding environment and offer effective communication and assistance to our patients and entire practice team. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner.
- Offer general assistance to the Practice Team and patients.
- Project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone & email.
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, managerial team and the clinical team.
About us
We are a large, suburban practice in Cheylesmore, Coventry near to the City Centre. We have 14,000 registered patients, we are also a training practice for GP's, Nurses and Physician Associates. We have 8 GP's, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 1 Paramedic Practitioner, 1 HCA, 1 Nurse Practitioner and 1 Nurse Associate.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional phone etiquette with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Proven experience in a GP surgery or busy administrative role is preferred.
- Proven experience in a high target sales role would be advantageous.
