As Day Porter, the aim is to ensure that all arriving and departing guests are taken care of to Chewton Glen’s standards.

About you:
- Experience in high standards of face to face customer service
- Full clean driving license is essential
- Drive and passion to seek out opportunities to go above and beyond for our guests

Responsibilities of the Day Porter:
- Greeting hotel and restaurant guests with confidence and providing 5 star service, creating a memorable impression
- Be passionate and confident in conversing with all guests to establish a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude at all times
- To be confident in transporting guests across the estate in our branded electric buggies, for a dinner reservation at The Kitchen or to our remote Treehouses
- Ensure luggage is safely transported to guest suites and Treehouses, providing a timely service to guests
- Acknowledge guests in a friendly and professional manner taking ownership of any requests they may have
- Be part of the team by assisting reception and other departments when required, even providing golf clubs to residents or showing them where our resident sheep are!
- Keeping a professional eye on the public areas to ensure they are clean and tidy
- To be intuitive and promote all services offered in the hotel, showing pride and passion for what your colleagues do
- To take ownership working alone and as part of a team in a busy yet flexible department
