As a Pastry Junior Sous Chef, you will support the leadership and day to day operation of the pastry kitchen, ensuring exceptional standards across all pastry production. Working closely with the Executive Chef and wider culinary team, you will help lead the brigade, support menu development and ensure consistency, creativity and quality in every dish. You will:
- Support the smooth day to day running of the pastry kitchen
- Assist with leading, mentoring and developing the pastry team
- Ensure all pastry dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Support menu development, pricing and seasonal pastry concepts
- Help maintain cost controls, budgets and labour planning within the kitchen
- Ensure strong food hygiene, allergen management and health and safety practices
- Monitor the quality of ingredients, deliveries and finished dishes
- Support training and development across the pastry team
- Lead by example with a positive, proactive and professional approach
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Support the creation and development of pastry SOPs and kitchen standards
