About you as Deputy Head Housekeeper
- Previous senior or managerial experience within housekeeping
- Experience in at least 4 or 5 star hotels is desirable
- Cool, calm and collected working in a busy department daily
- Excellent communication details with team, managers and guests
- Demonstrate professional and high standards in all areas of the role
Key responsibilities of the Deputy Head Housekeeper role
- Take ownership of the department in the Executive Housekeeper's absence
- Support with team training, inductions, ongoing development and appraisals of team performance
- Support the Executive Housekeeper with departmental projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, sustainability, guest experience, or cost optimisation
- Complete required administrative duties including system knowledge as per company standards
- Support the Executive Housekeeper with meeting departmental targets
- Hold regular meetings with the team to ensure effective communication
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are consistently achieved
