Aim of the Role
As a Head Waiter within The Drawing Room at The Chelsea Townhouse, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and leading the restaurant team to consistently exceed guest expectations. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day service operations, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, and creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest from breakfast through to dinner service.
Head Waiter Responsibilities
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest service, ensuring every interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Support and guide the restaurant team throughout service, ensuring smooth coordination and consistently high standards.
- Support the team where needed in Hans Bar & Grill at 11 Cadogan Gardens.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and go above and beyond to create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.
- Ensure all guest requests and preferences are handled efficiently and professionally wherever reasonably possible.
- Demonstrate passion and pride for the hotel and restaurant, acting as an ambassador for the brand at all times.
- Maintain expert knowledge of our food, wine, and beverage offering, including seasonal menus, in order to confidently make recommendations and drive sales opportunities.
- Oversee and uphold all restaurant procedures, service standards, and service steps, ensuring they are consistently followed by the team.
- Assist with training, coaching, and motivating team members to help develop skills and maintain high performance levels.
- Ensure excellent standards of presentation, hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the restaurant and adjoining areas at all times.
- Support management in creating a positive and collaborative working environment where colleagues work together effectively and support one another.
