About you as Deputy Head Housekeeper:

  • Previous senior or managerial experience within housekeeping
  • Experience in at least 4 or 5 star hotels is desirable
  • Cool, calm and collected working in a busy department daily
  • Excellent communication details with team, managers and guests
  • Demonstrate professional and high standards in all areas of the role

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Head Housekeeper role:

  • Take ownership of the department in the Executive Housekeeper's absence
  • Support with team training, inductions, ongoing development and appraisals of team performance
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper with departmental projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, sustainability, guest experience, or cost optimisation
  • Complete required administrative duties including system knowledge as per company standards
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper with meeting departmental targets
  • Hold regular meetings with the team to ensure effective communication
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are consistently achieved
