We are looking for an Assistant Night Manager to join our Front Office team.

About you as Assistant Night Manager:

  • Previous night operations experience within a hotel environment, ideally within a five star property
  • Familiarity with Opera or Opera Cloud systems would be an advantage
  • A flexible and dependable approach to responsibilities across the night shift
  • Confident and accountable when stepping in to support or deputise for the Night Manager
  • Naturally personable with a strong ability to convert late night enquiries quickly while building genuine rapport
  • Comfortable adapting to different operational roles overnight, including Reception, Porter duties and acting as Duty Manager when required

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Night Manager:

  • To deputise for the Night Manager, Night Reception or Night Porter while on shift
  • Be passionate and take pride in ensuring the well-being, satisfaction and comfort of all guests and to establish a highly personalised style of service and attention to guests
  • Continuously provide strong lines of communication with the late and early duty managers with any ongoing problems or issues
  • Be confident that all of the Nights team have a full understanding of all computerised systems used across the property
  • Completing Night Audit as required in absence of Night Manager
  • Support early check outs and organise settling bills ensuring payment is taken correctly
  • Assist with room service / cooking light meals from night menu in absence of Night Porter
  • Be confident in the geography of the hotel and accessing all areas
  • Be confident with fire training and fire drill practices
  • Oversee the reception safe when reception staff are not present, receiving of daily banking and floats from other departments
  • Be intuitive and ensure task list is completed each evening by yourself and the team
