Located in the heart of Broadway High Street, The Lygon Arms is a lively, historic hotel with 86 bedrooms, busy dining outlets, and a public-facing reception welcoming both residents and non-residents throughout the day. We’re looking for a calm, capable and switched-on Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-footfall environment and enjoys being right at the centre of the action.

The role: This is a busy, multitasking reception where no two moments are the same. You’ll regularly be:

  • Welcoming guests arriving from the High Street
  • Handling check-ins, check-outs, phone calls and enquiries at the same time
  • Supporting non-resident dining guests and visitors
  • Thinking on your feet and making sound decisions quickly
  • Using hotel systems confidently and accurately
  • Remaining calm, polite and professional, even at peak times

You’ll be supported by an experienced team and a Reception Manager who is kind, hands-on, and fully invested in training and looking after her team, especially when the desk is busy.

About you:

  • Experience in a busy hotel, reception or customer-facing environment
  • Confident using computers and booking systems
  • Naturally calm, polite and professional under pressure
  • Comfortable dealing with guests from all over the world
  • Organised, observant and quick-thinking
  • A strong team player who supports colleagues during busy shifts

This role suits someone who enjoys pace, people and problem-solving; not someone looking for a quiet front desk.

Shifts: 5 days out of 7, shifts between 7am – 11pm, including weekends.

What’s in it for you:

  • £27,498 salary + service charge (circa £2.5k per year)
  • Supportive, long-standing reception team
  • Excellent training and development from a committed manager
  • Friends & family rates at Iconic Luxury Hotels
  • 25% food & beverage discount
  • Spa discounts, healthcare cashback & team events
  • Employee assistance programme & recognition awards

If you enjoy a busy desk, varied guests, and being part of a strong, supportive front-of-house team, we’d love to hear from you.
