The Lygon Arms is a historic luxury hotel with a busy, well-run kitchen at its heart. As part of our collaboration with Chef James Martin, our Grill and Tavern delivers high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. We’re looking for a Demi Chef de Partie who is keen to develop their skills, enjoys working in a busy kitchen, and wants to progress within a stable, supportive brigade. This role offers a clear pathway to Chef de Partie for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Supporting a Chef de Partie in the smooth running of a section
  • Preparing and delivering dishes to a high standard during busy services
  • Working in a high-volume operation with clear structure and support
  • Learning how to manage prep, service flow, and consistency
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety
  • Developing your skills with guidance from experienced senior chefs

This is a hands-on, learning-focused role, ideal if you’re ready to take the next step from Commis Chef level.

About you:

  • Experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie
  • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
  • Eager to learn, improve and take on more responsibility
  • Calm, organised and reliable during service
