Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Tax Business Partner through January 31st at 11:59 p.m.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Support Chevron’s Europe business: trading, downstream, shipping and corporate group customers with timely advice, coordinating with internal and external SMEs to facilitate commercial decision making.
- Successful candidate will have responsibility for the design and implementation of Tax and transfer pricing solutions.
- Review corporate income tax returns for UK and European companies prepared internally or externally and related tax payment estimates.
- Document tax filing positions (including ASC 740 evaluation) and provide technical expertise to drive.
- Provide tax review of commercial contracts.
- Participate as tax SME in business led projects and clearly, accurately, and timely analyze tax issues and communicate tax guidance to stakeholders. This includes drafting accurate and timely technical memos.
- Provide coaching to other team members and to finance staff with tax responsibilities in European subsidiaries.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional tax, accounting (within tax function) or law qualifications (within tax function).
- Corporate income tax and Transfer pricing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tax experience and familiarity with European and other international tax regimes, including transfer pricing, Permanent Establishment, financing and indirect taxes.
- Oil and gas experience especially crude and products trading and Lubricants.
- Strong accounting knowledge.
Relocation Options: Relocation will not be considered.
