About the role of an Arboricultural Consultant Surveyor: There has never been a better time to join Chevron Green Services as an Arboricultural Consultant Surveyor. We have had our most successful year ever! We are growing significantly – which is why we need YOU! This is a critical role to the business, and you will be joining the professional and friendly Chevron Green Consultancy (CGC) team working remotely from home covering all work locations and clients. Work will be for varied clients including Highways, Local Authorities, housing associations, infrastructure, and the private sector. Our work covers large parts of England and Wales from the South Coast to the Midlands area, and flexibility to be able to spend nights away, driving to locations, and the ability to work remotely are key skills which would be desired for this role. Ideal home location: Berkshire / Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire, but not essential.
Responsibilities of an Arboricultural Consultant Surveyor:
- Tree inspections and hazard identification including mitigation specification
- Tree condition reports
- Arboricultural method statements and impact assessments
- Pest and disease identification and management proposals
- BS:5837 surveys and all services provided by CGC to the UK-based clients
- Continued professional and personal development provided; progression and further education is encouraged
What good looks like for an Arboricultural Consultant Surveyor:
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- Prioritise tasks and manage their own workload
- Approachable, proactive, ambitious, and well-organised
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and IT skills
- Qualified to minimum level 3/4 in Arboriculture or equivalent is essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of arboricultural inspections and delivering services within a commercially competitive environment is desired
- Professional Tree Inspectors qualification is preferred
- Ecological and wider environmental experience or habitat management is desirable
- A full, clean driver’s licence is essential
