Location: Area 3, Southwest - Curdridge
Salary: Hourly rate is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week consisting of day or night work with occasional weekend work included.

As a CGS Arborist/Machine Operative, you will be supported to achieve your potential and focus on the main responsibilities of your role. Our teams thrive on collaboration, working with respect, honesty, and integrity. This role is exciting and will be varied throughout the year, depending on the season. Responsibilities include:
- Cyclical activities including grass cutting/Weed spraying- using tractors with front and side arm flails, remote control bank mowers, ride on mowers, specialist machinery such as reforms and barrier mowers, and of course brush cutters
- Tree and hedge work, hazardous tree removal, ADB, sign and CCTV clearance and hedgerow maintenance or reduction outside of bird nesting season – Mixture of methods using mechanical Arb, Mewp and Climbing
- De-vegetation of ditches or other infrastructures, new structures and roads
- Planting
- Other ad-hoc tasks that help our clients
Arborist/Machine Operatives will work in a team under the guidance of a working supervisor to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.
What good looks like for an Arborist/Machine Operative:
- You do NOT need to be experienced in highways, although it would be beneficial
- Experience of using specialist plant and Machinery (MEWPS, Excavators, Tractors etc)
- We would like you to have a basic understanding of health & safety
- Physically able and the ability to pass or already hold a Safety Critical Medical
- Full UK driving license with less than 6 points
- Enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude

- Towing experience
- HGV Class 2
