Hours and Working Pattern:
General hours of work are 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities. Hours and shift patterns tend to fall on days; however, you may be required to work evenings, nights and weekends. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota, especially if you have the use of a company van.

This involves putting out road cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our work is visible all over the country. It is, of course, more complex, involving consulting, planning, designing, estimating and liaising with our suppliers and customers to ensure that our schemes are fit for purpose. Responsibilities of a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee:
- Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses.
- Maintenance of temporary traffic lights
- Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags and other equipment
- Helping and guiding new trainees, once qualified
What Good Looks Like for a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee:
- Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have been expired for at least 5 years
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test. Your offer will depend on the outcome of this
